Cast iron blackening !

Post by jcfx »

I finally got around to making a chuck adapter plate for my 6" rotab, made it out of gray cast iron
My hands get pretty dirty from handling the plate from the graphite that's in the cast iron,
is there something that can be used on the plate to lessen the smuttyness of it, tool black ?

Tough to get stuff to stick to graphite.

I just wash it down with solvent and call it a day.

And wear gloves....
Too many things going on to bother listing them.
