I have purchased a Powermatic 45 wood lathe that was missing the tailstock quill or spindle.
I am looking for a machinist who could make one for me - I would provide the necessary measurements in drawing form.
Main features are a diameter of +/- 1", keyway on one side, female #2 morse taper, bored in the working end, and an internal thread matching the tailstock shaft.

Re: Powermatic Lathe Quill
I have made a couple of tailstock spindles. Not difficult, what dia. Pitch, acme or 60 degree is the thread.
