Powder spray welding

Post by mikechoochoo »

I picked up a Stellite brand powder spray torch sold by the Cabot corporation. This is an ox acetylene torch. I am looking for a manual for it and any other information about it that I can get. Have any of you heard of or used this brand. Any idea who made it for Cabot?

In my area, they refer to it as "flame spray". That might or might not get you to information.

Good Luck

I have found a little additional information. Cabot registered the Stellite brand name for torches and copyrighted a manual for it in 1977. Now to find a copy of that manual!

If you do a Google book search for CABOT SPRAY STELLITE quite a bit pops up.

May not be operating manuals, but a lot of interesting reading.
Too many things going on to bother listing them.

Cleaning the torch up I found that it is a rebranded Victor, and I and checked it and it will take the Victor bottles. So with a little more cleaning, some new o-rings, and I should be good to go building up worn shafts and other items.
