I remember that you were looking for injector starting valves, and more.
I just saw a posting here on Chaski that Dave Bortz (SuperScale) has them in stock, plus many more valves and goodies.
Time to send him an I-Message.
Cheers,
RussN
Russ, as much as I like Superscale jewelry, it's a little too expensive for me.
I understand. However, does anyone here know of any other injector starting valves available?

Russ, Can you not simply use a ball valve to start the injector?

Anthony if I remember correctly throttled his steam to start his injectors. Did not recommend the pull-push.

Maybe his and SS injectors want something a little different.

Or I got this wrong.

Interesting. I have both a scale pull-handle type injector starter valve (see attached Mikado photo) and a SuperScale (SS) push/pull valve (other locomotive). and they both work equally well. I can throttle the steam during opening, although less easily with the SS push/pull valve.
Of course those valves operate a SS standard injector and an "off-brand" Chicago scale injector. Different horses, same ride.

Ody:
Yes, you could use a small ball valve. I just find those rather gross-appearing in the cab. 'Just my sense of scale appearance and not an engineering-based judgement.

Godshall's offers a pretty decent Ball valve that may not look out of proportion.

Steve:
I like those Godshall's miniature ball valves. 'Should work fine for you.

And I hope you feel better soon!
I've also felt less than spritely for the past several days, and can relate. Better today now that it is my 73rd birthday! (YIKES!)
And fresh snow outside too. Only about 1". Looks beautiful.

I actually got out to my shop yesterday, built a nice wood fire in the heater stove which got the shop temp up to 60F.
And then got some machining done. 'Sure felt good!

Wishing the same for you.

Hey Russ, I like the ball valves too. They are a little larger than I would like however at 1" long acceptable. I can buy 4 of these for the price of one push/pull. Happy Birthday Buddy, 73 eh! Nice to get out in the shop and make chips. I have not felt up to it at all. Friday started off with a Heart Cath that netted another stint (that makes 6) to fix an 85% clogged artery. I have not felt well for some months now. Probably noticed that in some of my cranky posts lol. Saturday, I ended up with a cold and then Monday it turned into a Sinus infection, so much fun! At this point I have not even recovered for the Heart Cath, go figure. Should have my Tender kit in a week or so, you know another distraction lol

They are good valves.

The only problem I have had is that since you can turn them either way ..when turned CCW constantly the packing glands tend to unscrew.

Probably a left handed thing....
Too many things going on to bother listing them.
