A transformer and some diodes is looking more inviting with each post. An in-line fuse would finish it off. Whaddya think?

Yeah, that's what I used. Makes the job really easy.

Update: I'm getting a refund from the supplier and have contacted a different supplier that specializes in LED lighting for a recommendation. While I can make up a power supply, I'd rather not spend the time on it and get something that's plug and play. The supplier I've contacted has a good reputation so we'll see what they recommend.

Also, here is a video of the flashing:

Suggest staying away from units with fans..

When the bearings in the fan go bad you are back to ⬜ 1

The outfit I ordered from has a tech service guy who made this recommendation. It has a two-year warranty. No fan.

Just to add to the discussion!
"Listed/Compliance" markings mean many different things, to many different areas of the earth. In the USA, what is acceptable is determined, state by state. In the state of Washington, there are several listings that are acceptable, CE is not one of them. IP ratings only deal with ingress and egress openings of a product, that range from fingers to water.
Below is a link to the Washington State Electrical Program's page, that deals with testing labs. Different labs have different things that they certify.
