Forgot to point out the 16 holes drilled and tapped on the center tube for possibilities. And holes in the outside channel for hold downs of deck.

The end plate is cut to 18 inches which I forgot to mention that the bolsters were narrowed to 17 inches. Next the coupler mount was pilot drilled and transferred to the end plate then some pilot holes drilled to support the buffer beam. Jim

Painted the frame then hardwood was attached to the back of the channel for the deck to be glued and screwed to. The deck boards are 3×3/4 clear pine and will be shiplaped. Which means I need a few more boards. Jim

Classy work.

Jim...moving along there. Have to ask...gotta loco/tender lifter to get that beast re-railed IF...it decides to fall off the track? They don't call that "hernia gauge" for nothing! Just curious.

And yes, agree with Russ...square nuts are a nice touch. So are the white walls. And I've got a friend that ALWAYS gives me crap if the white walls on the Rutland aren't "pristine"! Keep up the good work. Carl B.

Thanks Guys for the encouraging words it always helps to add to the fun l'm already having. Carl I plan on staying on the tracks LOL...
Hopefully i can find or make some rerailers and have seen a fabed up a pole and post that sits on the track or on wood dunnage. Any body with other suggestions or pictures might help.
