Never would have dreamed this one up.

Guy makes a live tooling spindle timed to the leadscrew and cuts polygons on the lathe.

I wish he had shown a slow-motion video showing the tool working.

You can follow it when he is driving the marking pen.

Not a new technique....been around for 35 years or so.. maybe longer.

Is a standard CNC function, which means it was pure mechanical prior to that.
Too many things going on to bother listing them.
