Titan Jr. heat shield

Post by wa6mdi »

Question for any operators of the gas powered Titan Jr. The one I operate is gas powered and has a heat shield between the engine exhaust and the hydro-stat transmission. The "L" bracket that is mounted over the drive shaft and fastens this shield has broken (again).

I am looking at this thing and wondering if it would hurt anything to just remove the heat shield. Any one have any ideas?

Thanks
Dick

if you don't mind cooking your tranny...sure...go ahead....

as the FRAM commercial used to say "pay me now or pay me later".....

might want to consider some silicone rubber vibration mounts....or making the bracket less stiff so that it can vibrate instead of crack...
Too many things going on to bother listing them.
