Using #1-72 tap as a comparison gage

Looks like the threads are 1-72.
#1-64 tap comparison. not so good a match

I'll try again using a different tap drill, maybe the first one I used cut undersized and tapped tight.

Do you have a 1-72 die to chase the stem threads with?
