Re: Engine moving
I added a second scissor jack to the wagon that I move my engines with. The single jack worked great until it didn't and I dropped my engine, fortunately it's a 1" scale and it happened in slow motion so I was able to ease it to the ground without any damage. With the single jack the engine had to be centered over the jack when in the raised position, I got careless and paid the price, so I made it a bit more fool proof by coupling two jacks under the lift.

Re: Engine moving
Possible a more simple way is to build a ramp with 2” channel and some flat bar welded for ties, and push or winch themengine up the ramp to the trailer. Easy for one person and takes no lifting. But does require some 20 or 30 feet of ramp to make the incline. Depends on how tall is your trailer and how highnoff the ground you can make the engine, to start with. 2” channel, supported every couple of feet with blocking will do the trick. I used to use plain old aluminium sections of track, with wooden ties and blocking to roll my 800# Atlantic up into a truck. The blocking is the trick.
Also, a small electric bumper winch from Harbor Freight takes all the effort out of it.

Re: Engine moving
I made a 12 foot long trolley with 6 wheels, when I back the trailer up I reverse it over some bits of timber so the trailer sits higher, then I wheel the trolley upto the trailer and use a bit of bridge track for the final height difference
