DIY Steam Trip Hammer powered by Jensen 20G Steam

This is a DIY homemade Steam Trip Hammer powered by a Jensen 20G Steam Engine the green belting I'm using is a larger 3mm thickness which is a thicker than normal belting for some added grip.

Of course, what did I first see when I visited the video? Two commercials! Man, Youtube has gotten very annoying.

That said, that's a pretty cool gadget.

What's the bottom axle with the crank for? Running it by hand?

What an ingenious and well organised outfit. It shows one job steam used to do. Be careful little fingers do not stray on to the anvil. Regards David Powell.

Jim, that's so neat! Congrats on a well executed project. AND...when you tire of watching the hammers beat nothing the anvil, put some peanuts or pistachios underneath and you'll have the only 2-headed nut cracker in the neighborhood! Carl B.
