Nah, those won't work for valve rings. My Kozo is slide valve. Don Yungling mentioned using cast iron transmission hook style rings in the piston valves of his his SP GS-1 with bronze liners. $.02

I'm not a super fan of the hook style rings because the hooks prevent further expansion once they are worn, effectively causing a plateau in performance. The non-hook style rings will continue to expand as they wear giving a continued gradual decline in piston performance.

yes...but on some you can file the hooks off and have a flat overlap
Too many things going on to bother listing them.
