Marty’s method worked perfectly for me. I only suggest the rubber mallet so as to not damage the end of the tube when pushing/wringing it into the firebox tube sheet. If you make both tube sheets with an oversize hole, it’s going to be a PITA trying to keep the tube from spinning when you go to expand it.

Depends on the misalignment ...and lubricant used

I have used 1/4 of the tube od
