I’ve been interested in building a scale model Rr crane for quite some time. So periodically do some research to find examples and drawings. This evening found this 15” gauge live steam powered RR crane recently for sale in the UK on eBay. Apparently the listing just ended (Ap, 2019). Looks like someone put an exceptional amount of labor and detail into the build.

Here we have this time ...... a working 15 " Steam crane. Built in the 1970s and in steam for 20 consecutive days to celebrate 150 years of the Stockton and Darlington railway this crane was name LITTLE TITAN by Mp William Whitelaw whose grand father was a director of the railway. The crane will be sold in full working order and the boiler will be fully certified and crane will be ready to use.. The carne is self propelled and the jib and slewing kit is fully operational. This could be regauged to 12 1/4" or 10 1/4' if so desired. All history photographs builders notes and maintenance history along with boiler documentation is included in the sale. A match truck is included in the sale. There is an option to buy separately a 15" gauge well wagon and box van. The box van has an engine fitted which drives a hydrovane compressor. Apparently it didn’t sell, as It’s no longer listed. I just thought it was a very cool grand scale build. I’d love to re construct something like this...
