Delrin AF should not squeak.
Too many things going on to bother listing them.
Re: Railroad Warehouse 2.8.2 Mikado Logger Build
Not familiar with the AF grade so I will assume its standard Delrin bushings. Another reason to use grease in the OffRoad world is to push out the dirt.
Not necessary in the train world.

delrin AF is not quite the same as standard delrin.
dirt -> not in train world? - giggle
ok...my propane loco running on an elevated track is no comparison to a dirt bike....

Hmm! Dirt bike! I have not been on one of those in 40 years lol. I much prefer the 4-wheel variety with a cage and 5-point harness's.
Re: Railroad Warehouse 2.8.2 Mikado Logger Build
One can ascertain what it is at a glance, as Delrin AF is light chocolate in color.

Looking at the specs it states it has a poor impact resistance. I would think a steam loco would pound on it pretty good however I have no experience with it, so its al speculation lol

It lasts just fine...will outlast any metal I have ever used.
Other alternative is nylatron

Well, that's good to know thanks Guys. What press fit do you use with this material? Also do you use solid rod or bushing tubing. Solid is quite a bit cheaper.

Press it in the drill the id with a drill that has little relief on it or will pull
I put a generous chamfer on the material and press it in the hole.
A little experimentation will show what interference you can live with...seem to remember .004" is a good place to start.

So are you starting with a solid rod?

Tapped the smoke box door for 5-40 model bolts. Eight will be for holding and the rest are dummy's. Still need to chuck it up in the lathe to take the bolts ends off that came thru the back side. I don't know why the PO drilled and tapped 4 - 5/16 holes in the face. Maybe a head light bracket?
