I have a similar tubing bender (not Eastwood) and have had good success bending tubing that matched the diameters specified on the bender.
I also have an even smaller bender for 1/8" tubing, and used it successfully, with care.

Time to go on a bender...

If you turn a mandrel on your lathe for odd size tube... fill the tube with fine sand, glass beads or Cerro metal...and persuade it with a piece of wood to worry it to the desired angle and most any reasonable radius.
Too many things going on to bother listing them.

Finished machining the Main rods. When we started making the rods, we knew the material could warp if both sides were not machined equally in steps. It was decided to do all the machining on one side and gamble. Yep, the material warped a lot. The first one by a 1/4" and the second one by a 1/2". We turned them over and machined the other side and low and behold the parts straighten right out.

Still need to drill and ream the 3 - 1/4" bolt holes that hold the two parts together, add grease fittings and press bushings in and the Rods will be done.

Awhile back I talked about the rusty leaf springs and decided I had to paint them. I lightly glass beaded them to remove the rust, then backed put the screws for cleaning out the glass between the leaf's and then finished them up in the parts cleaner.

Starting to work on the cylinders today. Most of the machining was done by the Previous owner however the end caps needed some cleanup and matching.

Your rods look great. I’m having better luck with hot rolled steel. I hope I’m not making a mistake unawares. The hot rolled isn’t warping with me so far.

Your rods look very nice indeed

Anybody else besides me use ground to size hot rolled?
