And this last one!
Just recently I managed to buy an old steam engine made by Maerklin back in 1953. It then was their biggest engine equipped with feedwater pump and a generator. After some work and a little tuning, it is running like a singer and produces enough AC-current (Westinghouse ) to light a LED bulb.
So much fun
Keep on trail despite C

Re: 2020 Steampunk Quarantine Handcart Contest
Hello again,
Here are my recent projects fitting to christmas time. Not steam so far but heavy metal, yet. Made of ancient Walther stabil parts, some of which were from before WW II (!), the models now may last forever .
The high voltage mast, scaled down to about 1 in 32 was built of some (not to say a lot of) surplus parts. It's double use as christmas tree with no needles comes just right this time .
That 4 track steel bridge is original located on the main line through the city of Hamburg (Dammtor station). There still is a lot of traffic of every sort of trains, about 300 per day! It was well known and facinating during the steam area as train spotters heaven .
It will be used for a H0 layout just to run and show all these trains of the past. Not an exact model, but showing the prototype as far as possible
Whish you a merry christmas and have fun together with me!

Pretty cool. Looks like a lot of fun, replicating known structures.
Well done!
