I checked some tangless MT2 tapers. Mostly a bit over 15 mm at the small end.

M14 would be bigger than the small end of mt2 wouldn't it?
Should be about 15.5 mm but there seems to be no formal standard for tangless Morse tapers.
Looks like the closest I find for a spec says it's just over 14 mm, 0.572", so you could put an M14 thread in it but it wouldn't last one use. The M10 mention looks to be"standard" metric.
