Made me laugh to remember a good friend years back who literally constructed his own automobiles from parts.
He would start with a "mother" car, as he called it. And would end up with 1920s looking vehicles with great character.
But being a scrounger, he purchased a cheap large square at a garage sale. Long story short, after welding the car frame together
he discovered the square wasn't. Cut it all apart and do over again.
Moral: Measure your tools for accuracy...
The best stories were always getting these vehicles licensed. For another time.
