I do not remember how long the drive belt for my Heavy 10 has been in service..but I can honestly say that I got my $$ from it.
it was still driving the spindle when I decided to put my spare into service this afternoon
i guess it is a good thing that i have been doing small work of late...since if you look closely..you can see THROUGH the belt at one end

Too many things going on to bother listing them.
Re: Getting $$ Worth
Bill, you changed that belt way too early! You're supposed to wait until the belt makes the " flappity..flappity.. FLAP...BANG!" noise...

Actually it was.. some of the strings got wrapped around the back gear.. which is what alerted me to the need for medical assistance.
As you can tell..doing small brass work most of the time I do not change spindle speed terribly often.

Ahh, so it was more of a " munch...MUNCH.. grind... GRIND... THUNK.."
Had one of those once, I think.
My 10K is usually found with the belt in the middle, with back gear when needed.
I dunno....
Cheers and chips,
Pete
