Hi looking for fellow Caz users. I need to make a back plate for a new chuck. I have measured to spindle nose taper at 1deg-45sec per side. This seem right? Secondly, when the 3 setscrews are tightened up, should the flat of the nose come into contact with the flat in the back plate? And lastly, any idea how to tighten up the conection between the tailstock star wheel and the grauated depth indicator?
