Air compressorsH

Post by Buddy1940 »

HI ALL
I have a question on aircompressors, my old one being over 20 years old is due for replacement BUT looking at the adds I notice that even though the motors are larger than my old one they only give a working pressure of , 116 PSI 8 bar , whereas my old one has always worked at 150 PSI ,near 10 bar.
Is this due to some legislation or something.
I need the 150 PSI for cleaning ECT.

I'm not sure where you are looking or what price range you are in, but 175 psig compressors are really available.

Single stage AC's usually go up to 120PSI. Two stage AC's go up to 175 PSI.

How many CFM are you looking for at what pressure? Those two items should drive a lot of your search.

Just let go of it, it will eventually unplug itself.
