Sunbeam headlight

Post by Gra2472 »

I am looking for a pair of 1.5" scale sunbeam headlights for one of my electric locomotives. Anyone know where to find them?

Jack Bodenmann is now building new Sunbeam Golden Glo headlights. They are museum pieces and railroad jewelry. They are delivered R-T-R, not kits. I have his headlights on my seven Baldwin electrics and just purchased (within the past three months) one of his Sunbeam headlights with angled number boards for my Super Huskie.

You will have to check with Jack, but a friend of mine just bought two of his Sunbeam Golden Glo headlights for his 1-1/2 inch scale Baldwin electric. This purchase was in the past three months. That's when I bought one of Jack's new Sunbeam angled number board headlight for my Super Huskie.

You know Jack's headlights sell out quickly, but are definitely worth the extra money :).

Mercer does sell them, but they are kits and NOT R-T-R. At least the last ones were kits. Maybe that's changed now.

I thought I also read somewhere that Dave has stopped making a lot of his recent products. Hopefully that is incorrect!

Thanks everyone. I ended up buying a set from Jack. Gary’s pictures of his locomotives in blog convinced me.
