Horizontal Steam Engine
Maybe a little off topic, but I am cleaning out here a little. This is a nice little horizontal steam engine I picked up a few years ago with the intent to replace the broken cross head guide/rear cylinder head which had broken prior to me picking it up. Flywheel is about 5" diameter with a neat governor built into it. Very nicely done, fairly heavy as well. The grey base is wood, but engine is cast iron. Would make a nice little restoration project. I had looked at turning the cross head/cylinder head and then brazing the piece on the bottom to attach to the engine bed. Asking $250 or make an offer. I'm in Wall, NJ. jrmay@m3monmouth.com
