New Supplier of Trucks

Post by David S Coster »

Accucraft is marketing a line of 7.5" and 7.25" trucks. From the standard bettendorf truck, Jackson & Sharp Truck, to our EMD Blomberg Truck used on our GP-38's and 40's. We will be adding more trucks as time goes on. So check back with site often. https://www.livesteamstation.com/accucr ... -on?page=2
Please mention me, David Coster when ordering.

The site shows a loop version and a solid version? Is that correct? The solid shank version is not understood. Also none are in stock currently.

Is the price listed on the passenger car trucks per pair?

JTolan it is for 1 truck only at that price, people have to pay double for a pair of passenger car trucks. I don't know why they don't want to sell them as a pair. Who just wants to buy just 1 passenger car truck???

I have had the web site updated to show trucks and coupler to be clearly listed as each, not pairs.
As for loop version and solid shank version, I assume you are talking about couplers. The loop is the 1.5/1.6 couplers and will have two springs and a centering block. The solid shank coupler is a 2.5 coupler.

Hey JTolan, your comment is interesting, If someone whanted a pair all they have to do is order two. Hence a pair.

Was merely needing clarification as the websites language was previously unclear. I made no commentary on it.

Yes Arch bar Trucks are on my list of items to add to our product line. My question to you and others, is what scale to do first 1.6 or 2.5?

1.5" - The majority of commercially available rolling stock is STILL in 1.5'.
As the supplier of Sprayberry Hopper Kits, we no longer offer 1.6 car kits.

I also agree that 1.5"/ft. is the larger market for products like trucks.

I thought all the Tom Bee products were 1.6 scale. Of course with trucks not a big difference from 1.5 and 1.6.

I think mountain car used to make arch bar trucks as well that fit up brakes. Then cannonball makes archbars.
