HFT 5980 tool post upgrade

Post by Troy2448 »

Hello

I have an old HF 5890 and I am looking to upgrade the tool holder. Found on Ebay the BOSTAR AXA or OXA wedge style tool post sets. Wondering which one is the proper size for my machine?

Thanks Troy

What's the swing of your lathe?

I'd say the OXA since your lathe is 7 1/8" swing:

* Perfect for 7 x 10", 7 x 12", 7 x 14" mini lathe, Such as Enco, Grizzly , little Machine , Harbor Freight and many oversea made .

Thanks again for all the help.

Purchased the OXA and now I just have to get back home so I can get it mounted and set all my tools.

Let us know how the 0XA fits and how tool centerline adjustment turns out.
