Deburring the lead screw on 3 in 1 lathe?
I have heard much about deburring the lead screw on a 3 in 1 lathe, such as the 9729. Can you explain the process and what tool you have used for deburring the keyway slot on the lead screw? Thanks.

I don't know if you ever got your leadscrew deburred but I just got finished doing that to my 9729.
I took the leadscrew out and filed it out with a sharp triangle file. It started to look like a really long job so I put the file in my jigsaw and that sped up the operation a lot!
You would need a LOT more patience than I have to finish it all by hand. lol
When I heard what they thought a new half nut was worth I decided that deburring the leadscrew would be one of the first things I would do when I got my lathe.
I'm glad I took the time to do it because the burring was quite bad all down the leadscrew.
