Shop press
My on going 17 year project. Started it 15 years ago and never welded it together. Then i finished it with a 6T jack which is what i had on hand when i really needed the press. Upgraded to a 12T for a little more push. I do driveshaft repair so i always have u joints to push out and in. I also do some keyway broaching in my custom pulleys i make. As well as repair anything my neighbors bring over to fix. Today i made a bearing splitter from 1" thick 4" sq plate to salvage some bearings the neighbor was going to scrap. he had a bucket full of them on electric motor shafts...Bob

Re: Shop press
Your split ring to hold the top of the jack is a good safety idea ,I may have to do that to mine. Thanks
Re: Shop press
Thanks for this. Your design got me thinking last night but I cheated and went out and bought a little press which will do what I need!

Re: Shop press
Made a rack to hold my pusher spuds. Some of them are 1" in dia and so are the holes and they fell thru. So i bored out some nuts and added a set screw to hold them to the shaft so now they won't fall thru...Bob
