Next thing is to get those .50's working! :D I know a few places where they would be quite useful.

Exhaust valve day.

The carbon was blasted off of the hot end and now the stems are being externally honed and polished until perfectly straight and round. It's a four step process. First a roughing stone to eliminate the wear, then a finishing stone to improve the finish and further straighten the stems. Then a polishing stone. Final step will be a Trizact polishing belt just prior to installation.

Next step will be the valve grinder for tip and face grinding.

Intake valves will be next.

Connecting rod day.

Honing the small end of the rod round and straight for new bushings. Fixtured in the honing machine to keep the bore perpendicular to the beam.

Grinding the O.D of the connecting rod bearing block to eliminate wear marks and make it round and straight again. Fixtured in the Cylindrical Grinder.

Some fine precision work going on there! No doubt very important too for the safety factor alone! Given it's for an aircraft!
