In that respect, a radial engine has no peers. :D

Lucas electrical used to be known as "the prince of darkness".
That mainly referred to the intensity of vehicle driving lights...
But not everything they made was (is) bad. My 22 year old car has Lucas diesel injection pump and it's still working perfectly.

Ok, not really; it's supposed to pull fuel from the tank through the filter without an auxiliary (lift) pump. That is to say, it's supposed to really suck but like the vacuum cleaners, it sort of doesn't.
I added an electric fuel pump, now it works just great.

Oh, you mean like this arrangement to secure a threaded plug?

A simple piece of safety wire to secure the plug would have worked just fine.
Now that I just ran a piece of stainless safety wire all the way through my finger I may re-think this!

Want me to kiss it for you and make it worse?

I've not completely penetrated my finger that way with safety wire, but have poked my share of holes over the years. It always hurts like hell when I do it.
