Editing and Deleting messages

Post by Marty_Escarcega »

Effective today, you may edit and delete your own posts indefinitely. It used to have a 4 hour time limit.
Use the features as needed and with some awareness that deleting a post may make a thread somewhat difficult to follow.

For sale items may be edited or deleted when sold.

Not that it bothers me, but I'm seeing the edit button on my old posts now, but no delete button. Maybe something isn't yet working like you'd intended?

Thanks for doing that. Thanks to my <sarcasm>sterling vision</sarcasm> I often see mistakes in my prose well after I've posted. Now when I see one I can fix it. :D

Click on three dots. You should see edit and delete right under it. Refresh your browser perhaps?

Three dots? I'm not seeing that, either. Also, I just noticed that the delete button (used to be an 'X') doesn't show up any more on recent (less than 4 hours old) posts. Here's a screen shot:

Same here. No edit button. No three dots.
?
Perhaps browser compatibility issues?

My new message above does presently show the edit and delete buttons.
No three dots except by the "Contact:" under the poster''s name.

Did you really mean "no delete button"? In case it matters, I'm using the current version of Firefox.
Edit: Now I'm seeing the delete button on this post, but not the earlier ones (of mine) in this thread.
Another edit: And now (a very short time later) the delete button is gone again. Something's goofy.

And now my first message above shows the Edit button but not the Delete button.
Interesting sequencing...

So the Delete "X" disappears after one additional posting.
Consistent with all four of my postings above.
My browser is Safari V. 11.1.2

Sorry, not three dots X to Delete Pencil to edit.
I will look into why the X Delete goes away
