help with Pexto 24" box brake fingers

Post by akajun »

I picked up a px24 but it was missing all the fingers and clamps. Looking on EBay for the price of fingers, OUCH!!!. I have decided to make them from 4140ph but I need a dimensional drawing of a finger from someone. Anyone have one of these that could take a few minutes to measure one? Thanks in advance.

I have an 18 gauge version of this brake.
If that is what you have please PM me and I will do some dimensioning.

Maybe ask one of these guys that had to make some http://www.practicalmachinist.com/vb/ge ... th-197612/

Myself, I think I would take a piece of cardboard and scissors and cut out the profile of what you need and go from there. There's enough pics online that you know what they have to look like, and you know that they have to set back far enough for 16 gage material, so the material can be slid under and bent up.

I already put a post on PM, no bites. I will just buy one on ebay and copy it if no one else comes through.
