XYZ Digital Mill

A lot of modifications I am reading require drilling holes to a specific depth (x.xxxx)

I have seen mills with 2 digital dimensions, but does anyone know of a machine that accounts for precise depth too?

Not looking for a huge machine, and preferably under 5k usd.

I cannot account for the accuracy and resolution, but it seems just about any mill could be fitted with a 3-axis DRO. Even my Asian RF-30 drill/mill was equipped with a DRO on the quill feed, until the scale got damaged...

You can fit a digital scale to almost any quill feed, or a multi-axis DRO. Sourcing a mill which suits you and fitting a DRO might be the best and cheapest way to get what you want,
