Remington model 710

Post by heisler0 »

Can I ask for a couple opinions on this action? I have a chance to pick one up at a fair price its in 270cal. but really want it for the action maybe I can set it a side for my 308 norma project this winter.

depends on what you expect to do. 710 was a low end price competative firearm. quality seemed to be directed toward price points. try the action, is it tight, binding, etc you may want to look elsewhere. check the bolt lugs for even wear and feel. all the usual turn its head and make it cough

for my 2 cents i would look for a savage 110 variation i feel they are more home smith friendly.
and still in the reasonable used price range.

Thanks Hammermill. I ended up passing on it after checking some pricing on gunbroker it wasnt any cheaper than what was on there. so the search continues.
