Can someone direct me to a gunsmith who could convert my Taurus 941 (stainless) cylinder to an improved 22 Hornet configuration?
The firing pin change is another project altogether.
Thanks!

first you will need to look at catiadge dimensions and see if the project is doable..
changing a fireing pin may prove pricey.
next is bore diameter???
lastly where are you located. the guy down the road by the red barn that burned down three years ago should be able to help

Hammermill,
You may not be familiar with it, but conversion of the 22 WMR to 22 Hornet is (and especially was) a common bit of revolver work.
The cartridge dimensions of the improved Hornet cases (the Ka-chuk, Ackley, etc) allow the use of the original cylinder.
I'm asking on here as some 'smiths may still have their reamers for this conversion.
The improved version of the Hornet helps reduce what Ackley called "bolt thrust" due to circumferential expansion of the
non-tapered portion of the case.
I take it you haven't had much experience working on firearms?
