The 10-22 bolt is only visible through the ejection port, so I see no reason to impart a jewel pattern on hidden surfaces.

I get one wear line on mine just above the extractor, that may be a problem as far as wear on the pattern. This particular kinetic bolt, rides on other surfaces not seen, so I would not worry about it if I did mine, mostly barefoot as it is. Ihave only had my action apart once about 15 yrs ago. My Son has the same piece but is customized with non standard stocks and milled barrel and such, but much later serial. No jeweling on the bolt.
