mauser DBM conversion??

Has anybody seen any drawings or data on converting 98 mausers ( or yugo 48'S to dbm ( short action cartridges), using m-14 or FAL mags?? there were some dbm's made for the mausers but these are outrageously priced and rumored to not work well at all. im thinking the existing floorplate is easily substantial enough to hold these and a conversion plate with mag release and front alignment guide could just fit right onto it. any ideas??
