"Can be picked up in Brentwood CA"
Is that the Brentwood in Los Angeles or the Dublin/Livermore one?

Interesting, not a single Coventry B&O D30 0-6-0. Maybe I can be first!

Re: Pennsy K4 Tender from Down Under
Major material. Looks more like Galvanized than Stainless. Which was used? Either way, beautiful work.

Re: Utah visit
Don't go to Promontory Point to see the Jupiter and 119; you want Promontory Summit. They are about 30 miles apart. The UP (former SP) mainline tracks are at Promontory Point on the Lucin Cutoff.

Re: Cast Iron Steam Water Pump
Most all hydraulic cylinders I've dealt with in the last 35 years are o-rings in steel bores. Maybe better lubrication than water or steam but still...

Not a Bucyrus Erie but a Industrial Works of Bay City, Michigan in 1907 (construction number 1789) at the Nevada Northern at Ely. Lots of pics on the 'net and a very attractive crane. Great place to go and make your own measurements...

After finding drawings by E J Paul, I'm wondering if PMLW is 'Paul Model Locomotive Works'?

Re: Museum of Obsolete Drafting Technology
I just dropped off a dozen plus Lockheed P-38 drawings, ink on linen, to the P-38 National Association. Didn't find my Dad's name in any of the check boxes, but many former guests of my folks at cocktail parties over the years. 20180809_150512 small.jpg 20180809_150750 small.jpg The typical curves y...

Re: Loco identification?
Another 1/2" Hudson (Pacific?), this with PMLW cast into the cylinders. Integral frame. I have patterns (wood masters, aluminum working). Any info on these? Link to previous post for those who missed it: http://www.chaski.org/homemachinist/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=103718&p=357126#p357126 John
