Bronze vs. Phosphor Bronze Identification

Here is a question for more experienced board members. I have some pieces of material I received that may be either bronze or phosphor bronze but are not identified. Is there a visual way to tell which is which?

Reminds me of the old saying: "Tis a poor workman who blames his tools."

Boiler Tube Question

I recently purchased a second hand boiler that was never used. It is steel with copper boiler tubes. Doing a quick check with low air pressure, I find some of the tubes are leaking. What is the best way to tighten them? Build a swaging device? Any suggestions appreciated.

I wired each battery through a set of relays. Under the car, I have a toggle switch that pulls the relays in for charging, effectively cha...

Re: Building a model of a GG1

If I remember correctly, Live Steam Magazine had a series on building a GG1 several years ago (10-15?) that had quite a bit of detail. If you could find that series, it might be helpful.

Re: Arborway, T.T. and NW Closed

I heard last night from my friend in Missouri that the entire place with railroad is for sale fro $7.7 million (slightly above my budget!). He said they would try to sell it intact for 6 months. If it doesn't sell, it will be broken up.
