We have several members who live in and travel to and from Florida. I also am working on a deal with a fellow in Flowery Branch, Georgia. If you wish… something can always be worked out.

Speeder Barn Find x 4 !!!
We at the Sahauro Short Line have a Large Barn Find and in that find (along with several other items) are four Speeders that are going up for sale. All appear to be complete and in need of restoring. Missing is some glass, belts, etc. None have cabs. Two have Fairmont Putt Putt engines and two have ...

Re: Wendy Project
Opened another box and found, the glass tube for the water sight glass, two relief valves, Allen's unmachined casting for the axle pump. And a copy of Joe Nelsons "So you want to build a live steam Locomotive".

Re: Using Forstner bit To Drill 19mm Hole in Aluminium
To answer your question. Yes, I've done it before...BUT. you have to be absolutely perpendicular to the foil and even then it is prone to snagging, tearing and ripping. If you can, I suggest practice on some scrap using a drill press and sandwich the foil tightly between two pieces of wood. Go slow,...

Looking for wheels
I am in search of some wheels that might do for mining car wheels or freight car trucks. Approx. 6" to 8" dia at the tread. Gonna be on 12# rail so + 2" wide. Cast iron or steel. Machined or not. Don't care what pattern is on them. Will need at least 4, but 8 would be wonderful. If th...

Re: Ties, 4"X4" & 5"x5" Sale or Trade
I received a couple inquires about the chemical "treating" on the ties. It is done by a commercial company, not in my back yard. It is a Pressure/Vacuum cycle in a flooded sealed container. I will get the brand name of the chemical from the MSDS... when I find it... it's laying around here...

Re: Peizo/push button ignition lighters
I would think a Pilot would be the way to go, but if you do use an igniter, I would think a sustained string of sparks would be better than a single spark. That way the ingnition source can be started prior to introducing fuel. We used to have BBQ grill where you turn on the gas then began a rapid, ...

Re: Printer enclosure
I did some fairly large pieces, wall sections for a building, and found a few that seemed to be warped. My printer is in a second bedroom of our forced air HVAC home. In the evening, I closed the door to the room so that it didn't distract from watching TV. It turned out, closing the door must chang...
