Rolled the rings that will be tacked to the the shell for an air gap under the jacket and where the bands will be. Jim

The bolts holes will be drilled thru the shell flange into the ring that was rolled. I often have wished I had a mag drill and this is one of those times. The boiler will get the swing plates tacked on and lifted into place,then the shell will be drilled or marked to be drilled. Wresteling 380lbs in...

Dug out sheet metal roller which will be used for the jacket.
Rolled a 1/8"x1" strap .
It was welded to the smokebox and will bolt to the boiler.

The doall is up and running. With the right pitch 1/2" cuts fast.

Marty and Glenn have produced a piece of locomotive jewelry but unfortunately it will wear a jacket. The craftmanship is amazing and I cannot say enough thanks to them.

I want to start by saying Marty Knox has been a wealth of information for me on the building of this locomotive. There were some valve gear print issues which he and Ed Archer helped to resolve. Marty has at all steps kept me up to date. Thanks Marty!

Hi Steve, the nipples are screwed into the cylinder inlets to keep me from dropping foreign material down the holes. I guess I should put the painters tape on top back on. Jim
