Re: Stuart Turner 5a Build

Ditto on the nice.

I think we have similar "almost too small to be useful" rotary tables.

The only nice thing about my small rotary table is that I can lift it.

Re: tractor engine top end rebuild

i have seen gear driven pumps that had internal shaft leaks that would dump hyd oil out the drive shaft and down into....wherever...

combine with slightly leaky control valves and you can have thinks that drop in the night.....

or hydraulic oil in your lube oil sump....

Re: tractor engine top end rebuild

Did you put new seals in the hydraulic pump?

Is the hyd pump belt driven or mounted on the engine black and gear driven?

Re: A spindle oil question

Yesterday I spent $125 on gasoline to run my lawn mower for the next 3 months.

It cut grass like a banshee, but us very thirsty.

$5 for a coffee makes it seem cheap to take care of the bearings in our machines...

Re: Double Flaring on Copper Tubing

Steggy is correct about improper installation of copper and its possible eventual failure and use of stainless, however the tried and true use of copper is just fine.
