Well, that looks fairly comprehensive, from reading the manual I'm sure it will be possible, using the descriptions included, to work out how to make parts other than those for which the dedicated code is provided,

Nick

"will be"
Until that becomes "Have Been" along with links and downloads what you have is "Vapourware"

Re: Ghost Gunner
I read the FAQ page -
https://www.ghostgunner.net/faq.html
I've obviously missed the bit where they tell you how you might make anything other than their pre-programmed part.
Any CAM package will need a Post Processor to generate machine specific G-Code, presumably they provide one?

Re: Ghost Gunner
Drill g Jigs for 80 percent lowers are available from many sources for under a couple 100 bucks Which is nice but then the machine is still a One Trick Pony, they haven't implemented a conventional G-Code driven system so anyone buying one is dependent upon the manufacturer to produce the proprieta...

Nothing on their blog since 2014 https://www.ghostgunner.net/blog.html Nothing at all on their Forums, which I believe is a bit of a worry Machine specific code for individual jobs, see answer here - https://www.ghostgunner.net/faq.html Stating it only machines 80% lowers for which they have produce...

Re: Lead Pot Distillery...It's all about the Head!
Harold, The UK Law changes were a half competent attempt at pandering to a limited section of public opinion by divisive politicians, the massive reduction in legally held handguns has had no effect on the illegal use of handguns brought in from Europe (it's actually gone up significantly) and merel...

Re: Lead Pot Distillery...It's all about the Head!
I like the PID idea, having added one to my heat-treat furnace I'm considering one for the Lee pot. The pre-heat pot for melting whilst casting is excellent too, there was me thinking I had no use for the spare Lee pot! Currently I only cast 128gn for .357, I'm almost at the point where I start weig...

Re: be careful
I work alone regularly. The problem with allowing the general public to work alone is that most of them are too daft to know that there are things which they don't know and most will, from a point of total ignorance, see a problem and think "Why wouldn't I be able to deal with that?" Usual...

Re: What are Reasonable Goals for Home CNC?
I have used the compensation tool, but it's not that great. Steve, I have it set up on a mill and it works perfectly, if your backlash movement is very free then the compensation will not be particularly effective as the forces on the tool will still be able move the tool platform around within the...

Re: What are Reasonable Goals for Home CNC?
Steve, If you're using Mach3 then you have backlash compensation settings for the axes in the software, Mach3 backlash compensation works. Have you tried the hot process for moulding your own nut in acetal/delrin to make a long nut & reduce backlash? http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net/threads/4364...
