Re: Help with Induma 1S mill

Check out this link. This is an example of the links and info we share on the FB group site. Because of such limited info out there on these machines we try hard to help each other: https://www.usinages.com/threads/renovation-induma-a-tourelle-1-s-testa-veloce.5214/page-7 This post is in french so y...

Re: Help with Induma 1S mill

Here's a breakout of a Bridgeport head. They use a different approach if you look at part #20. They have a boss on the end of the upper gear that keeps things in line. The Induma head is somewhat a copy of a BP head, but there are quite a few differences. But, it's a good cross reference. The thread...

I think Harold_V is most likely correct in his post. Try it and see if it fits! Good luck

Re: Help with Induma 1S mill

It's been a while since I went through my head and I don't remember this part, but, EDIT: I'm editing my post since I looked back through my pictures of when I disassembled my machine and found these. My pictures don't show this spacer part unfortunately. But, it very well could act to keep the gear...

Re: boring bar and brazing

I've made a few acme threading tools by hard silver soldering hss tool bits to grade 8 bolts and they work fine. I think hard silver solder is the way to go over other types of brazing material. I've never had a bit come loose. At work, we used a flat silver solder that we cut to shape and soldered ...

Re: WTB Silver Solder

Check the different Harris silver solders on Amazon. I bought some 56% a couple years ago and their price with free shipping was the best I could find: https://www.amazon.com/Harris-Safety-Silver-Brazing-Alloy/dp/B0072LEFJM/ref=sr_1_4?crid=22CRZ39WDPUBB&keywords=harris+silver+solder&qid=1657...

Re: Moriya stirling engine fan build

Ted, looks like your Moriya fan is a winner, but your other engines are just stunning! Have you built others besides these? -- Russell Mac The only other one I made was a simple wobbler that runs off a few pounds of air pressure. My first build. Yes, the Jeroen Jonkman Stirling 60 Engines are beaut...

Re: Moriya stirling engine fan build

I like the brass bearing inserts. -- Russell Mac Making the split bearing for the displacer connecting rod was enjoyable. I needed to cut/face a piece of square brass stock and clamp the two halves together before lining them up in my lathe. The split had to be right on center. All dimensions had t...
