Re: Your 3 in 1 (Any Brand) will be as good as YOU make it.

I have no problem with quick changeover from lathe to mill on my 9729. Remove the original square tool post one screw slide it off, open the compound vice, I have a Palmgren vice mounted on a 1” solid block that clamps right in the compound vice and ready to mill. The height is even perfect for the ...

Better Quality V Belts for the G 9729?

Has anyone replaced the cheap Chinese V belts on the G 9729 lathe/mill? Would you happen to have replacement belt numbers?

Re: EMCO MILL HEAD GREASE....TYPE /

Re: HF 5980 Spindle Specs?

Most drawbars on the 3 in 1 machine mill spindles are 3/8”-16 thread, so any tooling would need to match or another drawbar would be needed.

G 9729 Half Nut removal?

If anyone has replaced the half nut on a G 9729, can you tell me the steps for removal? My machine is a 2004 model and the lead screw has the keyway burrs from the manufacturing process. I would like to do a visual inspection of the half nut. I have a replacement that I bought when the machine was n...

Re: New 4-jaw...wish I could turn back the clock!!

I bought an 8” 4 jaw for my G 9729 lathe but I think running it all time would be too much weight for the spindle bearings, staying with the 6” max.
