I have always wondered about the mill spindle lubrication on a 3 in 1 machine, how the mill spindle gets lubrication. I thought maybe they used permanently lubricated bearings. The Manual does not mention routine lubrication of the mill spindle like it does with all other areas of the machine.

Most drawbars on the 3 in 1 machine mill spindles are 3/8”-16 thread, so any tooling would need to match or another drawbar would be needed.

I have used WD 40 when tapping, but no difference in the results of the thread finish.

If anyone has replaced the half nut on a G 9729, can you tell me the steps for removal? My machine is a 2004 model and the lead screw has the keyway burrs from the manufacturing process.
