How ironic that as we age, the BIG trains become more difficult to physically manage,
while our SMALLER trains become so much more difficult to even see!
And yet, we persist.

Re: Lubrication Question

Re: Remote Control thoughts

For controlling ANY remotely operated machine I would ONLY use a spread spectrum R/C system. The survival of my scale RC aircraft have successfully depended on those radio systems. And the overseeing US federal agencies agree that the spread spectrum systems are secure. The US military have used the...

Re: Steam turbine generator

I use warm-white LED bulbs in both my locos. One loco uses 3V., the other uses 12V. Both have E10 mini-screw bases. https://smile.amazon.com/GutReise-10pcs-Screw-Light-Yellow/dp/B01MU1G77R/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=LED+E10+screw+base+bulbs&qid=1623777365&sr=8-6 Choose your color and Voltage. Re: What size are they?

Both my steamers have been standardized to use Hanson high pressure quick-fit mini fittings. This includes a steam-cleaning lance that connects to the blowdown outlets. (not shown in the pics below.) I threaded the blowdown valve outlets to match the Hanson fittings: 1/8 - 27 NPT. They have worked f...
