German Mortar

Here is a picture of a German Mortar about 170mm made by Rhinemetall. It was captured in 1918 and now resides in a park in Ashland, OH. Unfortunately it is deteriorating to the point where it now needs to be taken seriously or it will end up in the scrap heap. If anyone knows more about this field piece or similar ones, please let me know.

And here is a model of it that my VERY talented friend made a few years ago. It is one of the many supreme models that he has made of odd things.
