Suppliers of 1" Rolling Stock

Post by tsph6500 »

I am curious if there are any suppliers of 1" scale rolling stock in North America currently in business. Asking for a friend…
Best regards,

It's a good question. Pacific Design Shops has done a PFE reefer recently and I understand has plans for other products:

Despatch Railroad has also done flat and hopper kits as batches:

One Inch Railroad has the old Nelson Gray Mill gon listed but hasn't updated the web page in forever:

Those are the folks I know.

Jim,
Along with the reefer cars that John posted above, we have future plans to start offering more 1" cars. Right now, we are in the designing phase of a 41' flat car with riveted sides and stake pockets modeled after a Southern Pacific F-50-16 flatcar. We just offered this in 1½" scale but was able to locate a source for 1" scale stake pockets. (See the picture attached)

Also on the designing table are 50' express reefers. The design is largely complete with just some detail parts to figure out. We are hoping to get this to the shop to cut by the end of April.

Jim,

Backyard Trains in Denver also offers a steel gon, a low side aluminum gon, a steel flat car with wood deck and a 50' steel boxcar in 1" scale.
