Mikado Logger 2-8-2 AutoCAD drawings
Mikado Logger 2-8-2 AutoCAD drawings
In need of AutoCad.dwg files for the Railroad warehouse 2-8-2 logging Mikado. I have most of the files however not the ones I need to complete the parts that have not been made as in driver rods and valve gear/reverse linkages. I have a list of file names to make it easier.
Thanks in advance

Did Railroad Supply sell these drawings in AutoCad?

Not that I am aware
Too many things going on to bother listing them.

RRSC doesn't have the "small" Mikado and for their Mikado, they sell drawings but not AutoCad drawings.

I never saw AutoCad drawings offered. But the patterns are for sale. The cad files might come with them.

Odyknuck - are you aware of the Autocad “pdf import” command? Might get you where you want to go, if you have a pdf as starting point. Depending on how the source pdf was created, it can yield an accurate and completely functional vector dwg.

Re: Mikado Logger 2-8-2 AutoCAD drawings
it is VERY RARE to find anyone offering the actual electronic CAD drawings -> unless they are specifically SELLING the CAD files -> in which case be prepared to $$$ !
I have done a LOT of CAD work since 1981 -> but NEVER let the ELECTRONIC originals (be they AutoCAD or Solidworks or ????) get away from my computer.
they are too easy to pirate and for all practical purposes, impossible to source protect.

If your search is unsuccessful, you can always do what I did and fabricate all those parts from your original RR Warehouse drawings.
I used 303 stainless steel stock.

Just like the old 'spin the dials' days

True, Bill.
I even machined those rods on my old round-column mill, with no DRO.
