Hello does anyone recognize who made this brake valve its in my 1.5 scale little engines 0-6-0?

That looks like one that Fred Bohn used to make.

Yes that is a Fred Bohn Brake valve,he developed it for his 999 train brake system

yes and no,
two have been made, trying to talk him in to making more to go with his train valve

Then Jack B on here has made some really nice looking 1.5 scale units.
Really like how Paul Keiser did a brake standing using the RRSC or maybe now Mike V castings and putting clippard valves on a cam under it. very slick.

Railroad Supply still sells that cast brake stand.
I believe they now utilize the Clippard setup.
Wish someone made and sold the cam plates for those of us without the skills.

The great thing about the clippard setup is that if the valve starts giving you problems you can just order a new one for $25 and swap it out. Agree on the cam under it, not sure what the easiest way to make that would be.

My first setup was a pair of Clippard regulators on cams, they worked great for straight air. but since i did not have any detents. not so well with auto. the vibration of rolling down the rails with the spring pressure would force the cam to turn, creating a reduction in the brake pipe.
If it is not live steam. its not worth it.
